I Love Me: A Self-Love Retreat in the Dominican Republic

Sep 22, 2025
Connect

February 13–18, 2026 | Private Villa • Ocean Views • Sacred Reconnection

Dear Collective,

As many of you know, I’ve spent much of the last four years in the Dominican Republic. While many see it only as a Caribbean destination filled with all-inclusive resorts, this island is so much more. In a single day, you can move from the Atlantic’s turquoise beaches to the rivers tucked between mountains, cleansing yourself in healing waters that have been flowing for generations.

People often assume I chose the DR because of Yohan, but the truth is, the Dominican Republic chose me. Here, I’ve found healthcare that costs less than my NYC co-pays, nourishing food grown locally in rich soil, and a culture rooted in community and care. What I crave most in life is love—and no matter where I travel, I keep returning to the love I feel in the people and the places here.

This retreat is an invitation to return, too—to your body, your heart, and the parts of yourself that feel most alive. Over six days in the Dominican Republic, you’ll immerse in daily yoga, meditation, healing rituals, and cultural experiences, guided by practices designed to help you soften, receive, and remember who you are.

Whether you’re moving through burnout, healing from heartbreak, or simply longing for reconnection, this journey offers a sacred pause.

They thought I was wasting food.
Hello Beautiful Souls, This summer I brought a box of pasta into the orphanage in La Romana. We painted it and glued it onto clay and foam to make little oceans. The littles loved it. The older kids were horrified. "This is food. You're wasting food." They weren't wrong. At FONICRIS, every meal is rice, beans, and chicken or pork, mostly whatever Goya drops off. Every single day. When food is t...
All Inclusive vs. Villa: What I Learned at Moon Palace Punta Cana
I just got back from a Fora fam trip at Moon Palace Punta Cana, and I have a lot of feelings. Let me start with what this resort does well, because it does a lot well. Kids stay free. That alone changes the math for families. It's the biggest resort in Punta Cana, and on price it comes in much better than the Hyatt Ziva. There's a toddler water park and a big kid water park. The kids camp is tw...
The Challenge I Have Been Working On For YEARS.
Hello Beautiful Souls, At the beginning of this summer, I had a conversation with a woman in the collective that took me out. She was articulate, deeply self-aware, and had clearly done years of inner work. She could name every pattern, trace every wound back to its origin, and describe with surgical precision the exact moment her boundaries collapsed in any given situation.  Then, she said wha...
