Fixes and FAQ's
Happy Tuesday, Collective!
In our last email, we shared two things - a $2,000 deal on retreat seats, and info about some charity work that Yinsa is sponsoring in Dominican Republic. The response was overwhelming, and we received A LOT of questions, (inlcuding why some of the links didn't work). I am going to try to answer all of the retreat questions here, and later in the week I will send an email about charity work. Feel free to reply with any additional questions nd we will get back to you within 24 Hours.
Which 2026 retreats are included in the $2,000/$2500 with flights deal?
1. Dominican Republic, February 13-18
2. Portugal, July 19-26
3. Bali, August 10th - 20th
Can I register for more than one retreat using this discount?
Yes, you can register for 2 retreats for $4,000/$5,000 with flights, or 3 retreats for $6,000/$7500 with flights.
Can I choose a single room at this price?
Yes, however here are a limited number of single rooms left for Portugal and Bali, singles in DR are sold out.
Can I fly from anywhere in the world, or is this only valid for US flights?
Yes, you can fly from anywhere in the world
What is the best way to sign up for a retreat?
On the retreat websit, there is a button to book your spot. Choose the room you want, and click the button to leave a $250 deposit. Please note that a contract from honeybook, along with an invoice to pay your balance, will immediately follow. This contract must be signed within 24 hours or you will lose your seat.
How do I know which retreat is appropriate for me?
We can help you decide. Simply reply to this email with your phone number, and Daniele will reach out to chat about the best option for you.
Is it safe to come alone?
Absolutely. 95% of our guests come alone.
Is it women only?
No. We welcome all gender identities.
Is it LGBTQ+ friendly.
Obviously.
What if I don't have a yoga body?
Ha! Welcome to the club. If you practice yoga and have a body, you have a yoga body. Don't believe the Lululemon ads, there are people of all body types and all sizes, on every retreat.
Is there alcohol allowed on your retreats?
GREAT question. The short answer is no, but for Bali specifically, we prefer that you don't bring alcohol into the villa. We do ask that people are responsible and respectful of the other people in the living spaces, and aren't loud or out of control. Most people are here to disconnect from chaos, so we don't want to bring chaos home. That being said, there is a bartender on site in DR, and in Portugal we will be visiting wineries. We expect everyone to behave responsibly and respectfully.
Can I bring my partner?
That depends. Do you like each other? Do you get along? Will your partner support your work, or hinder it? If you're bringing your partner because they're too jealous to let you go alone, that's probably not the energy that any of us need. If you're brining your partner because this is an experience you both value and want to do the work together, please bring them!
Can we bring children/pets?
Adult children, or responsible almost adults (16+), are welcome. Pets will have to stay home. We do not have childcare for small children, and workshop topics are not appropriate for young minds, so please inquire about anyone under 18.
Do I need to bring yoga mats/props?
No, we have all of the things you need on site.
What is the average age of your retreat attendees?
Ages have ranged from 24-66.
What happens before the retreat? Are there spaces for guests to connect?
This is one of the main reasons I am running this deal now, even though some of these retreats that aren't happening for 8 months. I want retreat communities to start doing the work BEFORE the retreat, and all attendees are automatically members of the LiveYinsa Collective, our online community. For our retreat in Portugal, for example, we will be working with the Artists Way by Julia Cameron in our private online space beginning in April. If we have our full retreat group by then, the experience will be that much more magical. We want to provide ways for people to connect before, during, and after each experience, so our hope is that these crazy deals fill our spaces earlier, and give you more time to prepare for our work together.
Im not really interested in doing any of this yoga and meditation nonsense, I just want to hang out with Daniele from 90 Day Fiance.
This is a big one. My work is very, very important to me. We have had people in workshops or retreats who wanted a meet and greet with a reality TV personality, but not self-development work. I must emphasize that this is not the place for that connection. We LOVE meeting fans through El Tio Tours DR, our tour company we run out of Dominican Republic, and are always excited to share our 90 Day experiences that way. If that's your goal, book a long weekend in Dominican Republic and book a tour with us. This retreat is about YOU, not me, and you must be committed to showing up for the work we do in our morning sessions. You are all grown and can make whatever choices you wish, but if your goal is to take selfies and check out, Yinsa retreats are not the appropriate setting for that.
Can I combine discounts with "repeat guest" or "register together" discounts?
No, $2,000 is the price through January 31st, and our prices on any remaining seats will be updated on the 1st of February to reflect budgetary needs. At that time, you can use repeat guest and joint registration discounts.
I don't get it. How can a $5,000 single seat be $2,000. Are you normally overcharging or choosing to lose money?
This is another great question. At this point, we have done this many times, and have dynamic budgets. If all of the seats sell out at $2,000, we will have 8 months to negotiate pricing for variable costs like transportation, excursions, swag for guests, and much cheaper flights. If we have seats left, we will price them accordingly to meet the needs of our budget. Basically, I am choosing peace over profit - to be able to work with my people 6 months before we leave, and be over-prepared. I've been running group overseas trips for 12 years, (my first was taking high school students to Costa Rica in 2014), and we have a formula that works. We have navigated a pandemic and a hurricane, and we are still here. We know what we are doing, and we do it well. That's why more than half of our guests on every retreat are repeat clients. We are really good at this.
How do I know what to expect?
My instagram feed @liveyinsa is FULL of images, videos, testimonials, and interviews with our guests and co-teachers. Just last week, I did a live with Felipe, our co-facilitator on all of our retreats, and Irene, the workshop leader for Portugal. Please see the evidence of our work there, or ask to speak to one of our clients. We would be happy to connect you!
That's it for now - if there is anything else I didn't cover, please reach out and we will connect with you quickly! Until then, happy retreat shopping!
With Gratitude,
Daniele
