Announcing the Yinsa Retreat Scholarships
For the women who deserve space, safety, and support the most.
Hi love,
Today I’m announcing something that has been on my heart for a long time: scholarship seats for the Yinsa retreats in the Dominican Republic, Portugal, and Bali.
Each retreat will offer one $2,000 scholarship seat, created specifically to open doors for women and creators who are too often shut out of healing spaces — even though they’re the ones carrying the heaviest load.
And I want to be very clear about the intention behind these scholarships and who they are designed for.
Who We Are Prioritizing
This year, these scholarship seats will prioritize:
-
Non-white women
-
Members of the LGBTQ+ community
-
Single parents
-
Female creators and entrepreneurs
These are the people the world takes from but rarely pours into.
These are the people who hold everything together — families, communities, classrooms, businesses — and are consistently expected to do it without rest, support, or resources.
So yes, we are prioritizing them on purpose.
Why This Matters — Especially Now
We are living through a moment where:
-
Women’s rights are being rolled back
-
Queer and trans communities are being legislated out of safety
-
Black, brown, and immigrant women are carrying generational burdens on top of economic ones
-
Single mothers are doing the work of entire households with half the support
-
Female creators are being exploited online while building platforms that change culture
-
And wellness spaces, more often than not, are still not designed with these women in mind
We know who is impacted the most when the world is unstable.
We know who loses first when resources shrink.
We know who gets overlooked, underpaid, and under-supported.
And we also know that healing, travel, joy, and rest should not be luxuries reserved for the privileged.
Every single Yinsa retreat is built on the belief that transformation belongs to everyone — especially the women who never get it offered to them.
What These Scholarships Include
Each scholarship provides:
-
Full access to all workshops, experiences, and programs
-
A supportive, inclusive, and intentional healing environment
-
Community with men and women walking a similar path
-
The space to reconnect to yourself without guilt or apology
This is not a pity seat.
This is not charity.
This is an investment in women who move worlds.
Why I'm doing this
When I built Yinsa, I built it from my own lived experience. As a woman who had to work twice as hard to be seen, as a creator who had to build everything from the ground up, and as a person who understands what it means to carry entire communities on your back.
I know what it feels like to need a break you can’t afford.
I know what it feels like to have vision and no support.
I know what it feels like to be told “wellness” isn’t for you.
So I am making sure Yinsa retreats are for you.
This isn’t just about a seat on a retreat.
This is about choosing, deliberately, to create space for women who are rewriting their lives from scratch — often while the world tries to push them back down.
How to Apply
If you identify with the communities listed above, you are invited to apply.
Your application is an opportunity to tell your story, share your goals, and let us know why this retreat would support your next chapter.
If you are interested in joining us, here are your steps:
- Reply to this email with the scholarship seat you desire in the subject line: DR, Portugal, or Bali
- Explain why you fit the criteria for the scholarship
- Provide a phone number where you can be contacted by our team via whatsapp
Applications will be reviewed with care, and selected recipients will be contacted directly.
A Final Note From My Heart
I don’t believe in gatekeeping, especially when it comes to healing.
I don’t believe in leaving anyone behind.
I believe in opening doors, widening tables, and creating spaces where women who have been silenced or minimized can finally exhale.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it.
If you’ve been waiting for permission to choose yourself, take this newsletter as the permission you already deserve.
If you’ve been waiting for a chance — here it is.
I cannot wait to meet the women who step into these spaces.
With love, intention, and solidarity,
Daniele
