When Things Fall Apart, (but we have a practice).

Healing doesn’t wait for things to calm down

Why I lead retreats, launch new programs, and show up in the chaos

Dear Collective,

This isn’t a glossy, curated update. This is the part most people don’t post about.

In one week:

A guest collapsed the bed in my rental.

The pool turned green.

Yohan and I started living together again… and all the old trauma resurfaced.

I found myself grieving the shape my family used to take, and the state of a body that’s been holding on for too long.

There have been tears.  Setbacks.  Silence.  And a quiet voice inside me whispering:

Stay with this.

Don’t abandon yourself now just because you can.

What’s keeping me grounded and sane:

Internal Family Systems — I’m revisiting the work of No Bad Parts, dialoguing with the parts of me that are angry, protective, hurt, and terrified. I’m learning they all have something important to say.

My altar — I’ve been feeding and tending to the altar I keep for my grandmothers. When I do my work there, I remember I come from a line of women who endured, healed, and created.  I carry that strength.

The Ocean - I take time regularly to cleanse all the tech, tears, and stress in the sea.  I live 5 minutes from the most beautiful beaches in Dominican Republic, and I take full advantage of that.

AI-assisted communication — Believe it or not, "the robo," as he calls it is helping Yohan and me work through hard conversations. We’re using AI to reflect our words back with more clarity and less reactivity. It’s not perfect, but it’s working better than anything else ever has, and all I need to feel safe is progress.

My team — I’ve shown up to meetings with exhaustion and a cracked voice, and they’ve met me with purpose and presence. Together, we’re still building this business. I really do eat, sleep, and breathe this work.

And here’s the part that might surprise you:  In the middle of all this, I’ve planned the most transformational retreat in Bali that I've ever worked on - with more guests, more practioners, and more support than we've ever had. One thing I teach is that holding space for others doesn’t mean we’re completely healed — it means we’re healing together.

If you’ve felt the call to retreat — to move through your own transformation inside a container that honors both the mess and the magic, here is what we have planned:

Opening Ceremony with a Balinese Priest

Muladhara – Grounding through a Balinese cooking class

Svadhisthana – Flowing at our workshop over looking the Tegalalang rice terraces

Manipura – Power reclamation and the Kecak Fire Dance at Uluwatu Temple

Anahata – Heart offerings through Canang Sari + a mala making workshop

Vishuddha – Voice and truth among the monkeys in the Monkey forest

Ajna – Inner vision and intuitive work with individualized in-house healing sessions including A Temazcal Sweat Lodge, Massage, Breathwork, Sound Healing, and Ayurvedic facials

Sahasrara – Crown activation on a sunrise hike to Mt. Batur 🔥

Integration – A closing Fire Puja Ceremony to burn away the old versions of ourselves

It’s for those of us who are still healing and growing.

Still holding space — for themselves and others.

And if you’re ready to hold space for others…

Root to Rise: The Yinsa Retreat Leader Course is officially on sale to the public

Whether you’ve dreamed of hosting retreats in Bali, Greece, Morocco, or right in your own city — this is your roadmap, and you can do it with us.

This course isn’t just strategy. It’s soulwork. When we learn how to hold sacred containers for others, we also become better at holding ourselves.

Early bird sign-ups get a 1:1 pre-planning call with me — a chance to talk through your ideas, fears, logistics, and desires before the course even starts.

If you want to see what a Yinsa retreat is like, this video from our retreat to Tuscany in 2024 highlights what makes a Yinsa retreat special.

youtu.be

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to say yes to the vision.

I know this email holds a lot, but so do you.

You don’t have to wait until everything is calm or polished to show up as a leader, healer, or guide.  You just have to be real and transparent. You just have to keep choosing yourself.  That’s what I’m doing.  And if you’re still reading, maybe you are too.

With love,

Daniele

She showed up to one of my classes carrying everything.
Not a mat bag. I mean everything. The weight of everyone else’s needs. The habit of shrinking. The exhaustion that comes from spending years making sure every person around you is okay while quietly falling apart yourself. Her name is Diandra. If you're on this list, you've received an email from her. When we first met, she was stuck in a pattern I see more than I wish I did: Brilliant woman,...
3 Spots Left!
The Girls Trip DR is happening in May, and I have only 3 single rooms left for women who are ready to stop talking about traveling and actually go.   Here is what is included: Four days in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. A private villa. Meals prepared by a private chef.  A catamaran cruise on the Caribbean. An ATV ride through a cenote. Ground transfers. Welcome BBQ. Women who are done playi...
Is it a Risk or a Decision?
Hey fam, I want to talk about something we don't talk about enough. Those of us who are living the lives that other women are scrolling past did not get there because we were fearless. We got here because at some point we stopped calling things "risks" and started calling them "decisions." There is a difference. A risk feels like something could go wrong, and it puts you in the mindset of ...
