Who doesn’t love Yin Yoga? In the state of our current world, people are beginning to realize that the constant go-go-go attitude is taking a toll on our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Now, we are looking for ways to restore the body and channel positive energy through mindful movement and consciousness. One of the initial pathways to a more grounding and cooling practice is through the lens of Yin Yoga.
Who is this training for?
*Yoga teachers looking to earn 25 Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits by learning the art of Yin Yoga
*People brand new to yoga looking to begin a practice from a place of support, ease, and comfort
*People who have experienced Yin and want to know more about the “Yin High.”
*People who have no clue what Yin is, but love and trust Daniele Gates and know that if she is offering a Yoga training, they should probably take it
What do you need for the training?
All mats and props are provided, but if you know that you need more than two blocks, one blanket, and one bolster as part of your practice, you may bring extra.

What will you learn?
The origin of the Yin yoga practice in both the East and the West as well as it’s evolution.
We will practice both the core Yin postures as well as learn modifications for different body types and abilities, understanding the role alignment plays in a Yin practice.
The connections between Eastern healing practices, including Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
An understanding of how Yin Yoga incorporates elements from TCM and other eastern practices.
The relationship between muscles, bones, and fascia (connective tissue) as it relates to Yin yoga.
We will delve deeply into the role of fascia in the body and specific ways to address “issues in our tissues.”
Tools and strategies to develop Dharma Talks, or the language we use in these looooong Yin holds.
An understanding of the role meditation plays in a Yin practice.
What will you receive at this training?
A full-color illustrated manual with sample dharma talk prompts, pictures of yin postures with cueing suggestions, common misalignments, and contraindications.
An essential oil set to use in your Yin practice and/or teaching
A certificate of completion for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits
All students who register during the early-bird period will receive a Yinsa t-shirt!
